ผู้ใหญ่พร้อม แห่งบ้านหนองพง เจ้าของคณะฉ่อย มีลูกชายคือ พันแสง ที่เคยรักกับ จิรกานต์ ลูกสาวกำนันพิมาน เจ้าของวงดนตรีลูกทุ่ง คู่กัดตลอดกาลแห่งบ้านหนองไพร แต่ต้องเลิกกัน เพราะพิมานทำให้เข้าใจผิด เมื่อทั้งคู่เรียนจบกลับมา พันแสงยังรักจิรกานต์ ขณะที่ฝ่ายหญิงคบอยู่กับ ชิตพล นักธุรกิจใหญ่ พร้อมและพิมานต่างก็ตั้งความหวังกับลูกของตน ในศึกชิงตำแหน่งกำนันตำบลบ้านใหม่ ซึ่งผู้ได้ตำแหน่งไป คือ จิรกานต์ โดยเจ้าตัวไม่รู้เลยว่า พิมาน และ ชิตพลซื้อเสียงเพื่อช่วยเธอ จิรกานต์มีแค่ความตั้งใจดีอยากช่วยชาวบ้าน จึงวางแผนจะพัฒนาตำบล หวังให้เจริญเป็นที่หนึ่งในจังหวัด ขณะที่พันแสงถูกเลือกให้รับตำแหน่งผู้ใหญ่บ้านหนองพงคนใหม่แทนพ่อ งานใหญ่งานแรกที่จิรกานต์และพันแสงต้องร่วมกัน คืองาน “ร้องเล่นเต้นรำ ดื่มด่ำวัฒนธรรมไทย” เพื่อหาตัวแทนของอำเภอ เข้าประกวดต่อในระดับจังหวัด บ้านหนองพงของพันแสง จัดแสดงโชว์เพลงฉ่อย มีผู้ใหญ่พร้อมและครูโอ่งนำชาวคณะอย่าง แม่น แก้ว เข้าประกวด โดยมี บุปผาและเพื่อนคือ ส้มโอ แตงโม คอยนำชาวบ้านไปเชียร์เพื่อขับเคี่ยวกับวงลูกทุ่งคณะพิมาน ที่จิรกานต์เลือกเป็นตัวแทนบ้านหนองไพร มี ดาวิกา เป็นครูสอนเต้นและผู้จัดการวง หลังแบ่งหน้าที่ ให้พ่อและครูโอ่งดูแลเรื่องประกวด พันแสงก็ตามเรื่องปัญหาหนี้นอกระบบของชาวบ้าน เขาเอาเรื่องนี้เข้าที่ประชุม แต่ถูก นายอำเภอยุวดี ค้านให้ใส่ใจเรื่องประกวดก่อน พันแสงไม่ลดละหาวิธีปลดหนี้ให้ชาวนา ด้วยโครงการ “ปลูกข้าวอินทรีย์ ต้นทุนต่ำ” ชาวบ้านบางส่วนสนใจ แต่ส่วนใหญ่ยังติดกับการทำนาแบบเดิมๆ พันแสงจึงลงมือปลูกข้าวอินทรีย์พิสูจน์ให้ชาวบ้านเห็น จิรกานต์รู้ว่าพันแสง เริ่มโครงการเพื่อชาวนา ก็ไม่ยอมแพ้ จัดโครงการ “เกษตรก้าวหน้าครบวงจร” ตามคำแนะนำของชิตพล นำเครื่องมือการเกษตรทันสมัยมาให้ชาวบ้านผ่อนได้แบบไม่คิดดอกเบี้ย โดยมีสุดยอดผู้ใหญ่บ้านหนองพัง สนับสนุน แต่พันแสงมองว่าจะเป็นการก่อหนี้เพิ่ม จิรกานต์ไม่พอใจที่พันแสงมาหักหน้า ด่าไล่จนกลุ่มพิมานและพร้อมจะมีเรื่องตีกัน พันแสงอาศัยช่วงชุลมุนลากจิรกานต์มาดูแปลงนาข้าวอินทรีย์ที่ปลูก พร้อมบอกความในใจที่ยังรักจิรกานต์ แต่จิรกานต์ปฏิเสธ พันแสงเสียใจมาก บุปผาโกรธแทน ตามไปต่อว่าจิรกานต์แต่ถูกสุดยอดกันท่า บุปผารู้ว่าสุดยอดชอบจิรกานต์เลยดึงเป็นพวก สองคนตกลงร่วมมือจะขัดขวางพันแสงและจิรกานต์ไม่ให้กลับมารักกัน แต่ความใกล้ชิดกลับทำให้ทั้งคู่ค่อย ๆ เห็นความดีของกันและกันจนเกิดเป็นความรักขึ้นโดยไม่รู้ตัว ส่วนจิรกานต์กลับมาบ้าน ก็ถูกชิตพลขอหมั้น อ้างเพื่อลบคำครหาของชาวบ้านเรื่องพันแสง จิรกานต์บ่ายเบี่ยงขอจัดการเรื่องงานประกวดให้เรียบร้อยจึงให้คำตอบ ชิตพลไม่ค่อยพอใจ พันแสงกลับมาดูแลเรื่องความเป็นอยู่ชาวบ้านตามคำแนะนำของละไมผู้เป็นแม่ โดยรวบรวมชาวบ้านกลุ่มที่สนใจเรื่องข้าวอินทรีย์มาอบรม เตรียมขยายช่องทางการขายข้าวโดยไม่พึ่งนายทุน ชิตพลที่ดูแลเครือข่ายธุรกิจโรงสีจังหวัด รู้ข่าว เลยสั่งหน่องสมุนคนสนิทไปดักยิง แต่โชคดีพันแสงรอดมาได้ ละไมและพร้อมกังวลว่าลูกชายจะเอาชีวิตมาทิ้ง ขอให้พันแสงหยุดโครงการที่ทำอยู่ แต่พันแสงยืนยันจะสู้ เพราะถ้ายอมให้นายทุนข่มขู่เอาเปรียบ ก็จะต้องยอมไปตลอดชีวิต ชิตพล ยืมมือพิมานผลักดันโครงการ เกษตรก้าวหน้าครบวงจร จนชาวบ้านที่ไม่มีเงินต้องเอาที่มาจำนอง เพื่อผ่อนซื้อเครื่องมือการเกษตรกับชิตพล แม้แต่ ยอดเยี่ยม เจ้าของโรงงานปุ๋ย พ่อของสุดยอด ก็มาขอเอี่ยวกับโครงการ โดยมีข้อเสนอเรื่องผลประโยชน์ให้ชิตพลอย่างลับๆ จิรกานต์ปลื้มกับคำชมที่โครงการฯ เติบโตรวดเร็ว โดยมีสุดยอดคอยเชียร์ จนพันแสงมาเตือน เรื่องชาวบ้านกู้หนี้มากขึ้นถึงขั้นเอาที่ดินมาจำนองแล้ว พันแสงให้จิรกานต์มองภาพรวม ว่าชิตพลเป็นใหญ่ในธุรกิจโรงสี นโยบายให้ชาวบ้านซื้อเครื่องมือผ่อนได้ เพราะต้องการเพิ่มกำลังผลิต ที่จะยิ่งสร้างกำไรให้ชิตพล ที่สำคัญ จิรกานต์กำลังตกเป็นเครื่องมือให้ชิตพลหลอกใช้ จิรกานต์ไม่พอใจ ตบหน้าและไล่พันแสงไป จิรกานต์ปรึกษาชิตพล เรื่องโครงการใหม่ๆ ที่จะช่วยชาวบ้าน ชิตพลว่าสร้างโรงงานแปรรูปข้าวรอไว้แล้ว เพื่อเตรียมนำข้าวที่มาตรฐานไม่พอมาต่อยอดแปรรูปเป็นเครื่องสำอาง น้ำมันรำข้าว ไวน์หมักข้าว อยากให้ชาวบ้านมีทางเลือก ไปทำงานที่โรงงาน ไม่ต้องรอปลูกข้าวขายอย่างเดียว แต่ทั้งหมดต้องให้จิรกานต์เสนอต่ออำเภอเพื่ออนุมัติ จิรกานต์คิดถึงคำพูดพันแสง และเริ่มสงสัยชิตพล ใกล้วันประกวด คณะฉ่อยยังไม่พร้อม เพราะครูโอ่งและแก้ว ถกกันเรื่องฉ่อยเดิมๆกับฉ่อยแร๊พๆ จนสุดท้ายพันแสงตัดสินใจเอาข้อดีของฉ่อยและแร๊พมาผสมกัน ได้เป็นฉ่อยประยุกต์ ซึ่งหัวข้อขอให้พูดถึง“ทุกข์ชาวบ้าน ที่รู้ไม่ทันเล่ห์นายทุน” ทุกคนรู้ว่าพันแสงจะใช้ฉ่อยเป็นกระบอกเสียงเตือนชาวบ้าน แต่เป็นห่วงความปลอดภัยพันแสง พันแสงยืนยันว่าจะเสี่ยง วันประกวด ทีมหนองพง และหนองไพร ขับเคี่ยวกันมาจนถึงรอบสุดท้าย ผลตัดสินค้านสายตาคนดูรวมถึงจิรกานต์ด้วย เพราะวงลูกทุ่งที่ดูเป็นรองเป็นฝ่ายชนะได้เป็นตัวแทนไปแข่งระดับจังหวัด พันแสงเดาผลได้แต่แรกเพราะรู้ว่ากรรมการ ต่างเกรงใจพิมานและชิตพล แต่อย่างน้อยเขาก็ได้ใช้โอกาสนี้ ส่งสารให้ชาวบ้านได้คิด คลิปแร๊พฉ่อยคณะผู้ใหญ่พร้อม ที่แก๊งบุปผาและชาวบ้านถ่ายไว้ แพร่ไปอย่างรวดเร็ว พันแสงวางแผนใช้โซเชี่ยลตอกย้ำกับชาวบ้าน แต่ก็ถูกชิตพลตอบโต้ด้วยการประกาศเปิดโรงงานแปรรูปข้าว จ้างชาวบ้านไปทำงาน จ่ายค่าแรงล่วงหน้า แม้แต่คนบ้านหนองพงก็ยังแห่ไป เพราะได้ค่าตอบแทนสูง จิรกานต์ไม่พอใจที่ชิตพลเจรจาขอเปิดโรงงานกับนายอำเภอลับหลังเธอ ชิตพลอ้างว่าทำเพื่อสร้างความมั่นคงให้จิรกานต์ เพราะพิมาน อนุญาตให้เขาหมั้นกับเธอ หลังเสร็จงานประกวดตามสัญญา กำหนดวันหมั้นคือวันเดียวกับวันเปิดโรงงาน จิรกานต์ไม่สบายใจนัก สุดยอดพยายามทักท้วงแต่ไม่ได้ผล บุปผาเอาข่าวไปบอกพันแสง อยากให้พันแสงตัดใจพร้อมสารภาพรัก พันแสงขอบใจบุปผาที่คอยเคียงข้าง แต่เขาคิดกับเธอแค่น้องสาว บุปผาอกหักฟูมฟาย แตงโม ส้มโอปลอบใจก็ไม่ได้ผล สุดยอดเรียกบุปผาไปปรึกษาวางแผนถล่มงานหมั้นจิรกานต์ แต่ด้วยความเห็นใจใกล้ชิด และความเมา ทั้งคู่จึงลงเอยกันอย่างลับๆ งานหมั้นและวันเปิดโรงงาน ชิตพลเชิญคณะฉ่อยมาร่วมงาน เพื่อเย้ยพันแสง พร้อมและละไมช่วยกันปลอบใจขอให้พันแสงอย่าท้อ เพราะยังมีหน้าที่ต้องดูแลชาวบ้าน พันแสงเกณฑ์ชาวบ้านมาช่วยกันเกี่ยวข้าวอินทรีย์ล็อตแรก ใช้สื่อโซเชี่ยลประชาสัมพันธ์ เพลงฉ่อยเกี่ยวข้าวผสมแร๊พร้องดังครึกครื้น พันแสงพอมีกำลังใจว่าสิ่งดีๆที่ทำไป ยังไม่สูญเปล่า ชิตพลรู้ว่าพันแสงกำลังจะขายข้าวอินทรีย์ล็อตแรก สั่งให้หน่องจัดการ จิรกานต์บังเอิญได้ยิน จะเตือนพันแสงแต่ถูกชิตพลริบโทรศัพท์และคุมตัวไว้ เลยแอบให้ดาวิกาไปเตือนแทนแต่ไม่ทัน ข้าวล็อตแรกถูกเผาย่อยยับ พันแสงมาเอาเรื่องแต่ถูกชิตพลดัดหลัง แจ้งตำรวจจับ และให้นายอำเภอปลดพันแสงจากการเป็นผู้ใหญ่บ้าน โดยตำแหน่งผู้ใหญ่บ้านหนองพง ให้พิมานที่ว่างอยู่ช่วยดูแล พันแสงหมดทางสู้ แต่บุปผาว่ายังมีหวังเพราะยังมีสุดยอด ลูกชายนายยอดเยี่ยมที่ถูกชิตพลหลอกใช้ สุดยอดพาพันแสงไปหายอดเยี่ยม ขอให้เป็นพยานการทุจริตของชิตพล ตั้งแต่ปล่อยกู้นอกระบบ ซื้อเครื่องมือเกษตรผิดกฎหมาย ตั้งเครือข่ายโรงสีกดราคาข้าว ฮั้วประมูลที่ดินตั้งโรงงาน แต่ยอดเยี่ยมปฏิเสธ เพราะถ้าแฉชิตพลเท่ากับฆ่าตัวตาย เนื่องจากตนก็มีส่วนด้วย และขอให้สุดยอดเลิกหาเรื่องใส่ตัว สุดยอดยืนยันว่านี่คือครั้งแรกในชีวิตที่จะทำสิ่งที่ถูกและจะทำให้ดีที่สุด พันแสงให้สุดยอดเป็นสายติดต่อจิรกานต์เพื่อรวบรวมหลักฐานเอาผิดชิตพล แต่เพราะธุรกิจที่ชิตพลทำ ชื่อในสัญญาเป็นชื่อ พิชิต พ่อของชิตพล แถมมีพิมานเป็นหุ้นส่วน ถ้าเปิดโปงคนที่จะรับเคราะห์ไปด้วยคือพิมาน จิรกานต์จึงตัดสินใจปิดเรื่องนี้เป็นความลับ จิรกานต์กลับมาทำดีกับชิตพลจนชิตพลไว้ใจ พันแสงช้ำหนัก เพราะคิดว่า จิรกานต์เปลี่ยนไป ชาวบ้านที่ทำงานในโรงงานชิตพล เริ่มมีอาการเจ็บป่วย สุดยอดขอให้พันแสงช่วยสืบความจริง แต่ถูกหน่องจับได้ จิรกานต์ จ้างหมอมาตรวจพิสูจน์ แถลงข่าวปกป้องชิตพลเต็มที่ แถมสั่งลูกน้องไปพังเวทีที่พันแสงตั้งขึ้นร้องฉ่อยเตือนชาวบ้านอีก (แต่ความจริงเธอพยายามหาโอกาสส่งหลักฐานให้พันแสง) ชิตพลโมโหมาก สั่งหน่องไปลอบฆ่าพันแสง งานแต่งงานของชิตพลและจิรกานต์ จัดขึ้นวันเดียวกันกับงานศพพันแสง หน่องและลูกน้องถูกเกณฑ์ไปดูแลความเรียบร้อย ที่โรงงานจึงเหลือลูกน้อง4-5คนเฝ้าอยู่ เป็นโอกาสให้ สุดยอดและบุปผา นำชาวคณะฉ่อยมาบุก ขณะที่งานแต่งงานดำเนินไปจนถึงช่วงพรีเซนต์เทชั่น ที่จิรกานต์เตรียมไว้เป็นเซอร์ไพรส์ ที่จอเริ่มด้วยคลิปวันแถลงข่าวที่จิรกานต์ปกป้องชิตพลเรื่องโรงงาน ก่อนจะตัดเข้าสู่เฟซบุ๊คไลฟ์ของสุดยอดที่อยู่ในโรงงาน ถ่ายทอดสด แฉหลักฐานให้เห็นสารตั้งต้น และเครื่องมือผลิตยาบ้าในโกดังชั้นในสุด ตำรวจบุกเข้ามาจะจับชิตพล เขาจึงสั่งลูกน้องยิงต่อสู้ หน่องและพวกโดนวิสามัญ ชิตพลจับจิรกานต์เป็นตัวประกัน พันแสงที่แฝงตัวอยู่ในงานช่วยจิรกานต์ พร้อมจับตัวชิตพลได้สำเร็จ พิมานถูกกันให้เป็นพยาน ชิตพลถูกจำคุกตลอดชีวิต เรื่องร้ายผ่านพ้น จิรกานต์คิดจะลาออกจากตำแหน่งกำนัน แต่พันแสงทักท้วง เพราะเขาเตรียมลงสมัครผู้ใหญ่บ้าน เพื่อจะมาช่วยจิรกานต์พัฒนาตำบลและหมู่บ้านให้เจริญรุ่งเรืองอีกครั้ง ผู้ใหญ่พร้อม ขอสงบศึกกับกำนันพิมาน และจะสู่ขอจิรกานต์ให้พันแสง พิมานว่าจะยอมยกให้ แต่คณะฉ่อยต้องช่วยวงลูกทุ่ง เอาชนะการแข่งขันระดับจังหวัดให้ได้ก่อน สองคณะร่วมใจคิดโชว์ที่ประยุกต์ฉ่อยเข้ากับวงลูกทุ่งอย่างกลมกลืน จนชนะได้รางวัลอย่างที่ตั้งใจ งานแต่งงานของผู้ใหญ่พันแสงและกำนันจิรกานต์จัดขึ้นอย่างเรียบง่าย บนแปลงนาข้าวอินทรีย์ที่ปลูกขึ้นใหม่เหมือนความรักของทั้งคู่ ชาวบ้านร้องรำสนุกสนาน เสียงเพลงฉ่อยผสมลูกทุ่งร้องเพลงรักลอยมาตามลมอีกครั้ง

This drama is about a girl who dreams of being a singer, who ends up getting chased to the city. In the big city, she bumps into a rich lady who recognizes her necklace as being their granddaughter that everyone in the family has been searching for since their grandmother had wanted to find her lost granddaughter that she had given the necklace to. So, the rich lady hoping to gain favor with the grandmother brings the girl back and polishes her up. Then she runs into the guy who she had two meetings with at the house, and so the story of dreams, love, and betrayal begins.

Grandma Pim lives with her orphaned granddaughter, Saraphi, and her young grandson, Jao Mai, in an old wooden house by the canal. Saraphi is a physical education graduate who excels in various sports and martial arts. She works part-time as a trainer at a sports center, where she meets Ek, a young boy who wants to learn how to swim but was sent to learn Taekwondo instead.

Next to Saraphi's home are two large houses within the same compound. One belongs to Kornkanok, who despises Saraphi for refusing to sell her land. Kornkanok constantly harasses Saraphi and her neighbors by blocking their entrance and throwing loud parties at night. Unable to take it anymore, Saraphi retaliates by throwing stink bombs, scattering the party guests. Kornkanok reports Saraphi to the police for harassment, but when Captain Wenai investigates, he realizes Kornkanok started it. Not only does Wenai drop the charges, but he is also highly impressed by Saraphi. He speaks admiringly of her to his friend Fuengfa, unaware that Fuengfa is Saraphi's best friend and secretly in love with him.

The other large house belongs to Thewan, the President of Siam Parade, an import-export forklift company. He took over the business after his older brother, Theptai, and his sister-in-law, Kornnik (Kornkanok’s sister), died in an accident. Since then, Thewan adopted their son, Ek. Because he works late into the night, Thewan is mostly unaware of what happens at home. Kornkanok is secretly in love with Thewan and tries to get close to him, but he ignores her because his heart still belongs to Wanthip, his former fiancé who drowned before they could marry. This tragedy caused Thewan to develop a severe fear of water, and he strictly forbids Ek from going near it.

While looking for a full-time job, Saraphi sees a hiring notice for an agile secretary at Siam Parade. Thewan initially rejects her, doubting a woman's capability for the demanding role. They argue, with Saraphi defending women's equality and Thewan dismissing her views as idealistic. Determined to prove him wrong, Saraphi insists on taking his test. During a company event, Thewan encounters Chitphong, a former employee he fired for embezzlement, who now runs a rival business. Seeking revenge, Chitphong sends hitmen after Thewan. Thanks to Saraphi's quick thinking and combat skills, Thewan survives. Impressed, he officially hires her, which sparks intense jealousy in Saengjan, the company's other secretary, and Kornkanok. Both women constantly try to sabotage Saraphi, but she always outsmarts them.

One day, Ek sneaks out to play in the water and nearly drowns. Saraphi rescues him and subsequently agrees to secretly teach him how to swim. Meanwhile, at work, Saengjan locks Saraphi in the office late at night. That same night, Chitphong sends men to steal company documents, but Saraphi beats them up and calls the police. Thewan arrives and offers to drive her home, finally realizing she lives right next door to him.

Later, Captain Wenai brings Thewan to Saraphi's house to discuss the break-in, leading Thewan to discover that Saraphi is Ek's swimming teacher. They argue, but over time, their constant bickering turns into a close bond. Thewan is deeply impressed by Saraphi's competence and straightforwardness, while Saraphi begins to admire his dedication. Upon learning about his past trauma, Saraphi deliberately pushes Thewan into the water and jumps in to help him, eventually teaching him how to swim and overcome his fear. Grateful, Thewan finally allows Ek to learn swimming from her. Thewan even buys Saraphi a motorcycle for work, and they grow closer as he rides pillion with her during traffic jams.

Furious at their growing closeness, Kornkanok teams up with Chitphong to embezzle from Thewan. Thewan and Saraphi investigate and trace the stolen funds to Kornkanok and Chitphong. Thewan demands compensation, but Kornkanok denies everything, using her late sister's past contributions to the company as a shield. Thewan spares her but gives her a final warning. Panicked, Kornkanok consults Chitphong, who insists they must kill Thewan, which makes Kornkanok hesitate because she still loves him.

Hitmen attack Thewan and Saraphi again. Saraphi drives fiercely to escape, and Thewan takes a bullet to protect her. This makes Saraphi realize how much he means to her. Meanwhile, Kornkanok manipulates Ek against Saraphi. Seeing Kornkanok hugging Thewan at his house, Saraphi misunderstands and decides to step back, thinking they would make a complete family.

Captain Wenai confesses his love and proposes to Saraphi, breaking Fuengfa's heart. However, Saraphi turns him down, admitting she loves Thewan and only sees Wenai as a brother. She then resigns from Siam Parade. Thewan begs her to stay, hurt that she doesn't see their deep connection, but she leaves anyway.

A drunken and heartbroken Thewan tells Ek that no one, besides his family, loves him as much as Teacher Saraphi. Realizing the truth, Ek sneaks out to find her but overhears Kornkanok and Chitphong discussing how they brainwashed him. Ek angrily confronts them and is taken hostage by Chitphong.

Saraphi tracks them down to Chitphong's shipyard. Just as Chitphong is about to shoot Ek, Saraphi jumps in to shield the boy and falls into the river. Thewan dives in frantically to save her. Fortunately, the bullet only grazed her. On the way to the hospital, they finally confess their love for each other.

Thewan learns of Kornkanok's full involvement with Chitphong but chooses not to press charges for Ek's sake. A deeply ashamed Kornkanok apologizes for everything, and Thewan forgives her. In the end, Ek finally has a warm, complete family. Although Saraphi is technically his aunt-in-law, she loves him like her own son. Thewan learns to love again, knowing that while he will never forget his past, Saraphi is the woman he will love with his life. Saraphi is no longer alone in the world, having found both a loving partner and a perfect family.

The story revolves around the relationship of four men of different ages—Jet, Earth, Toon, and Phop. Paweena (Preaw) and Onnapa (On) are two young women with completely different personalities. Preaw is feisty and refuses to yield to anyone, while On is polite and modest. However, they are best friends and are always ready to help each other. Their lives are no different from Cinderella's. Preaw graduated with a degree and got a job as a secretary, but at home, she is oppressed and forced to do all the chores by her stepmother, Kusuma, and Kusuma's children: Kampanat, Kanta, and Kantima.

Prasan, Preaw's father, does not love Kusuma. However, a tragic accident caused Kusuma's husband and Prasan's wife to die together. Seeing a comfortable way out, Kusuma made Prasan take responsibility, so he took her and her children into his home. Kusuma seduced him until she became the stepmother, but she never treated Preaw well. She bullied Preaw since childhood behind Prasan's back. Growing up, Preaw wouldn't give in easily and fought back every time. Still, she felt hurt that her father always believed Kusuma. Furthermore, Kampanat, Kusuma's son, constantly sexually harasses her, but Preaw always manages to escape and fights back, leaving him physically hurt.

On graduated as a nursing assistant. Being an orphan, she lives under the care of her grandmother, Anong, along with her aunt Preeyanuch and uncle-in-law Somsak. On's duty is to take care of her sick grandmother, who is bound to a wheelchair. Additionally, she has to do all the housework for her stingy aunt. On shares a similar fate with Preaw, as Somsak tries to assault her, but luckily, On manages to escape every time.

On secretly loves Pongsatorn, who is Kantima's boyfriend. Pongsatorn is the heir to a jewelry factory in Chanthaburi and owns a jewelry store in a department store. Kantima is jealous and spoiled. She cannot control her temper and gets into a fight with Rose, a model trying to catch Pongsatorn. Rose is smarter and uses Kantima's weakness to gain sympathy points for herself. When Kantima throws tantrums, Pongsatorn reprimands her. As this happens frequently, he starts to become unable to tolerate her behavior.

After finishing his master's degree abroad, Garin—the only son of Kriangsak and Nalinee (real estate business people) and Kanta's boyfriend—returns to Thailand, intending to surprise Kanta at her house. That same morning, Preaw and On go to the market together and split up to buy groceries. On meets Pongsatorn and his 5-year-old niece, Kanomping, and misunderstands that he already has a wife and child. In reality, Kanomping is the daughter of Pongsatorn's older brother who died in an accident. Meanwhile, Preaw, waiting for On at the bus stop, helps an old woman cross the street and almost gets hit by Garin's car. Luckily, he brakes in time. Preaw is furious and harshly scolds him. Garin provokes her before driving away, making Preaw even more furious and wanting to chase after him, but On stops her.

Returning from the market, Preaw is bullied by Kusuma and Kanta into doing the laundry. Furthermore, while washing, the two keep picking fights with her. Angry, Preaw throws the soapy water toward the front of the house, which directly hits Garin, who just showed up for his surprise visit. At first, she feels guilty, but upon realizing who it is, she feels satisfied. From that day on, every time they meet, they end up arguing. However, Kusuma becomes anxious, fearing that Garin might become interested in Preaw instead of her daughter.

Garin brings Kanta to introduce to his parents, but Nalinee dislikes Kanta immediately, seeing her as too "modern." Garin tries to persuade his mother to open her mind to Kanta, but it doesn't work. Kanta invites Garin to Pattaya since he has a vacation house there. Kantima invites Pongsatorn, but he asks to bring Kanomping along. Kantima is annoyed but relents, knowing how much he loves his niece. Kanta wants to mess with Preaw, so she asks to bring Preaw along to use her as a servant. Kusuma pretends to tell Prasan that she wants Preaw to get some rest. Preaw knows what the mother and daughter are up to but agrees to go on the condition that On comes along too. This is because she wants her friend to have a chance to be close to Pongsatorn. Kampanat follows along as well, planning to force Preaw to become his wife.

On is glad to learn that Kanomping is not Pongsatorn's daughter, and she gets along very well with the little girl. However, the downside is that Kantima throws tantrums at her for getting close to her boyfriend. Pongsatorn tries to protect On. As for Garin and Preaw, they are the same—bickering every time they meet without yielding to each other. Even so, Kanta is dissatisfied, thinking that Preaw is trying to seduce her boyfriend.

That night, Pongsatorn gets a chance to apologize to On for Kantima constantly picking fights with her. They talk happily. On gets shy and trips on the sand, but Pongsatorn catches her just in time, sparking good feelings in both of their hearts. Preaw, unable to find On, goes looking for her and is ambushed by Kampanat, who tries to assault her. Preaw fights back and beats him up badly. Garin sees this and misunderstands, thinking Preaw is seducing Kampanat. Preaw is furious at being insulted and scolds him sharply. Garin gets angry and pulls her in for a kiss, but Kanta intervenes just in time. She tries to slap Preaw, but Preaw dodges, causing Kanta to fall embarrassingly on her bottom.

The next morning, Pongsatorn helps On in the kitchen, but Kantima interrupts and throws a tantrum as usual. Meanwhile, Kanta hopes to secure her relationship with Garin, so she rents a boat for the two of them. She tells the boat owner to drain the fuel so it's low, hoping it will give her a chance to get close to him. She then orders Preaw to make sandwiches and mocks her, saying Preaw is jealous she gets to be close to Garin. Preaw snaps back that she hates Garin to the bone. Overhearing this, Garin gets angry and decides to get back at her. When Preaw brings the stuff onto the boat, he takes the opportunity to speed off into the sea immediately. Kanta is furious at Preaw. On tries to defend her friend, which leads Kantima to attack her, making Pongsatorn sympathize with On even more.

On the boat, Garin reveals he did this because he heard Preaw insult him and wants her to apologize. Preaw refuses, and they argue. Preaw threatens to jump into the sea and swim to shore. Garin doesn't think she'll do it and dares her, so Preaw actually jumps in and is swept away by the waves. Panicking, Garin dives in to save her. She loses consciousness, so he has to give her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Preaw wakes up embarrassed.
