Hoi An Chan Rak Thoe

Khunying Mueanmat, the mother of the famous writer and photographer Mueangman, collaborates with Khunying Suchawadi, the mother of Wikanda, to arrange a marriage between their children. Mueangman, however, dislikes Wikanda’s extravagant and superficial personality. To escape the engagement, he flees to Hanoi, Vietnam, with the help of Lilly, a high-strung editor, and his senior friend, Keng.
In Vietnam, Mueangman meets and gets into an argument with Huong Mai, a crafty Vietnamese girl who persistently tries to sell him goods. Mueangman ends up buying an embroidered cloth depicting a woman—a piece that Trang, Huong Mai’s mother, had originally embroidered for her. The sale was made by Tuan, Huong Mai’s younger brother.
