Saeng Dao Fang Talay

Warisa moves to San Francisco to study, hoping to escape the accusations that she was the "other woman" responsible for the wreckage of Sathin and Dujduan’s marriage. While studying, she supports herself by working in a Thai restaurant. One day, her close friend Ichaya invites her to visit Seattle. Warisa decides to travel via the Coast Starlight train—a journey she poetically dubs in Thai as "Saeng Dao Fang Talay" (Starlight by the Sea).
On this train, Warisa encounters two men. The first is Phawat, Dujduan’s nephew and a PhD student at Berkeley. He has harbored a grudge against Warisa since they were in Thailand. The second is Colin, a bohemian freelance photographer who falls in love with Warisa at first sight. Phawat is also heading to Seattle at the invitation of his best friend, Wanut.
Throughout the journey, Phawat relentlessly insults and belittles Warisa, accusing her of being Sathin’s mistress. He blames her for the argument that led to a tragic car accident, resulting in Sathin’s death and leaving his daughter, Daonapa, paralyzed.
Upon arriving in Seattle, Phawat and Warisa discover that their respective best friends, Wanut and Ichaya, are actually husband and wife. Forced to stay in the same house, the two must feign a truce for the sake of their friends. As the four of them explore Seattle together, Phawat’s hatred begins to transform into love, and Warisa finds herself reciprocating his feelings.
The group later visits Rosana in Vancouver. However, Rosana takes an immediate dislike to Warisa and treats her with such contempt that the group cuts the trip short. Rosana even follows them back to Seattle to stir up more trouble until Phawat convinces her to leave.
As the holiday ends, Phawat must return to Berkeley and Warisa to San Francisco. Despite their love, Warisa is heartbroken by the knowledge that Phawat’s entire family hates her. She asks him to forget everything that happened in Seattle and suggests they go their separate ways.
To move on from Phawat, Warisa begins a relationship with Colin. A devastated Phawat eventually tracks her down, only to leave in despair after seeing her seemingly happy with Colin. He is unaware, however, that the couple is drifting apart due to Colin’s workaholism. Recognizing that Warisa’s heart truly belongs to Phawat, a hurt Colin disappears.
Warisa decides to visit Ichaya in Seattle once more, leaving a letter for Colin to follow her. When Colin arrives at the train station, he unexpectedly runs into Phawat.
Between Phawat and Colin, who will board the "Coast Starlight" to join Warisa on a journey toward a new life filled with understanding and light?
